Robert Stephan Interior, based in Munich, specializes in creating bespoke residential spaces throughout Europe. With a portfolio that extends beyond Germany to countries like Italy, France, and Austria, the studio brings a refined touch to every project. Their signature style lies in the artful fusion of classic vintage elements with modern design, resulting in unique interiors that feel both sophisticated and inviting.

"For the AD New Perspectives exhibition in the Kronprinzenpalais, we were looking for an individual solution that would pick up on both the shape and the natural grain of the historic parquet floor. The handmade Persian carpet by Edelgrund perfectly completed the design concept. The custom-made model not only continues the hexagonal shape of the parquet pattern, it also blends harmoniously with the colour scheme of the interior. Fine colour gradients repeat the structures of the parquet. The coarse surface structure of the yarn made of pure sheep's wool adds a further haptic accent and underlines the uniqueness of all the selected objects. With Edelgrund’s know-how and fine feeling for materiality, they were the ideal partner for this project. Edelgrund understood our conceptual intention immediately and knew how to translate it into textile structures in no time.” — Robert Stephan
